About Us

History

The Tunica County Community Development Coalition was incorporated as a non-profit organization in the state of Mississippi in 1992.  The Coalition initially started as a group of thirty volunteers working on a special youth development program with the Kaiser Foundation throughout the state of Mississippi.  


Tunica County Board of Supervisor member James E. Dunn has served as TCCDC Executive Director for last 15 years.  By focusing on strategic planning, operational management, advocacy, and board relations; Dunn is significantly contributing to the organization's mission and sustainability

Economic development

Through a strategic meeting process, the Coalition targeted housing issues as a primary need for Tunica County.  The State of Mississippi soon designated the Coalition as a Community Housing Development Organization.

What we do

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for low to moderate-income residents of Tunica County through the development of affordable housing, economic development, and supportive services.
